Janie Jett-Mason
ENTERTAINER

Janie has been a ventriloquist since the age of nine when she received her first puppet, a Jerry Mahoney doll, ordered from the Sears & Roebuck catalog for Christmas.  She grew up on a tobacco and cattle farm in Robertson County, Kentucky; graduated from Deming High School in Mt. Olivet, and received her B.A. degree in art and teaching certificate from Morehead State University.

Janie and her husband, Jim, and two sons, Steve and John, moved to Owensboro in 1981, and Janie was "discovered" by Goldie Payne in 1983 while doing a live radio remote show. She was a featured performer on Goldie's Best Little Opryhouse in Kentucky until Goldie's closed in December last year.  Janie is a natural comedienne, and her "Minnie Pearl" impersonation has been a favorite with Goldie's audiences.

The "Dynamic Duo" are available for Christmas parties, festivals, conventions, and dinner programs.
